the swan at olney - history

With a building that dates back 400 years, the Swan Inn has recently been taken over and refurbished.

Whether it’s dining in our bistro, attending one of our events or just relaxing with a glass of wine you are sure of a warm welcome.

The picturesque English town of Olney is just 15 to 20 minutes from Northampton and Milton Keynes on the A509 and is famous for its pancake race!

We serve our own real Ale - the Swan Local - brewed in partnership with Hart Family Brewers in Wellingborough.

As well as real real ales, carefully selected wines, real food at pub prices and an attention to detail including a daily changing menu, free newspapers to relax over your beer, fresh flowers, fantastic coffee and most importantly of all –a high level of service to make it a memorable visit.

New owner Andrew Dunkley is passionate about food & drink and are creating the Bistro which blends traditional British cuisine with a worldly flair having had many years' experience in the industry, most recently at The Rose and Crown Bistro in Yardley Hastings.
